Coventry City Council Before
EcoLogic is the first specialist cleaning organisation given authorisation by Coventry City Council to carry out works independently on the city’s prized monuments. In 2006, as part of a comprehensive, city-wide restoration project, EcoLogic was tasked with cleaning 16 of the city’s most prominent structures, including the world-famous Lady Godiva statue in the centre of town.
The project saw thorough cleaning of a range of different surfaces, from porous stone to delicate marble carvings, as well as a host of different metallic compounds. Each job required a combination of cleaning systems to not only return each monument to a spotless finish, but to be gentle enough not to damage or weaken the structures in any way.

Coventry City Council After
The mammoth project was completed over a period of just six weeks. Throughout the programme, Coventry City Council’s conservation team continually assessed progress and was very pleased with the quality of the work. However, the biggest commendation came from members of the public, who often took an active interest in the work being carried out and were proud of their city’s proactive approach to maintaining some of the UK’s most significant monuments.
